Edinburgh’s Christmas celebrations are in disarray after the newly hired organisers who were given the contract backed out.
The German company was given the job of organising Edinburgh Christmas back in June.
But the company, who is also in charge of Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, has informed the council that it can no longer carry out the agreement.
The event will still take place, according to council leaders, despite organisers’ withdrawal.
