At a recent gathering at the heart of our beloved Gorgie City Farm, a thrilling announcement was made. Two dedicated individuals have joined the mission to breathe new life into the farm, with the community at the forefront of their plans.

New Faces at Gorgie City Farm

The farm’s future will be steered by the capable hands of Suzanne Campbell, stepping in as the Project Manager. Suzanne isn’t a stranger to leading projects that make a difference, especially those aimed at bettering the lives of children, young people, and families. Now, she can’t wait to dive in and work with all of us to make the farm a vibrant hub once again. In her own words, she’s thrilled about “developing a strong sustainable plan for the future of the site”.

Alongside Suzanne, we’ll see Cat Young, a familiar face to many of us in Gorgie. Cat will be working as the Partnership Facilitator, ensuring everyone in our community gets to have their say about the farm’s future. She’s not just doing this job; she’s living it. As a local resident, she knows just how much the farm means to all of us.

Our Farm, Our Future

While Suzanne and Cat get settled into their roles, the Steering Group hasn’t been twiddling their thumbs. They’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes, handling everything from safety to maintenance issues at the farm. Their goal? To make sure the farm remains a green oasis for us all to enjoy as the project unfolds.

With these new appointments, we’re moving forward into an exciting new phase. And you bet there’s more to come! The team is planning engagement events to hear from all of us, so stay tuned for more details.
