On Thursday, September 2, 2021, about 9 p.m., police and emergency personnel were dispatched to Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood Park.
Shortly after, a 31-year-old lady died on the scene, and her death is being investigated as suspicious.
Fawziyah Javed of Pudsey, West Yorkshire, has been identified as the victim.
She was believed to be on her honeymoon at the time of the deadly fall, according to reports, and is also believed to have been expecting a child.
In connection with the event, a 27-year-old male has been arrested and charged. On Monday, he’ll go in front of the Sheriff Court in Edinburgh.
